How to Break this Mental Resistance

One way to break this mental resistance is to not let yourself think and just do it. Preserve the flow of action and not permit yourself to slow down to think whether to do it or not.

For example, in the case of starting to run once again, you might choose to go straight to the fitness center after school or work and not house.

You could change your running equipment the minute you reach home and head straight out when everything is set up, therefore avoiding taking a seat altogether or giving yourself the chance to state no to what you have set out to do.

The continuum flow of action enables you to shift from one activity to another without having to choose or go through any thinking process that might jeopardize your progress.

Actions equal growth. Without actions and development, you are not going anywhere. If you have a goal and truly wish to accomplish the outcome, do something about it. No matter how small your action is, it will still move you forward towards your goal and away from your present position.

Most of the time, when you are clear and sincere about what you desire, taking action is similar to second nature. Deep inside, you know you want it and you know you need to do something about it to get to where you desire to be.

If it is an expectation of yourself or from others to be of particular basic or to attain specific goals, it would not take long to resist to leak back in again.
