The Truth Behind Why Hard Work Doesn’t Always Produce Results
This is a universal truth that everyone who has ever been in the workforce knows. It is a fact that hard work doesn’t always produce results. This idea can be applied to business, personal life, and even athletic fields.
The truth is that more often than not, productivity is not linear and sometimes it takes some time for things to start happening. Let’s take one of the most common examples – health and fitness.
If you want to build muscle mass, you need to lift weights more than your body weight at least twice per week for at least 30 minutes each workout.
Even then, it might take weeks or months before you start seeing any noticeable changes in your physique and strength levels. So don’t go all-out on the first day and give up if you don’t see any changes coming right away.
Why You Should Stop Trying to Be Perfect and Just Enjoy the Journey
Some of the most successful people in the world came to the realization that trying to be perfect is counterproductive towards achieving your dreams. Instead, they found happiness in enjoying what they do and knowing that their work will be appreciated by others.
Using the book, “The Happiness Advantage” by Shawn Achor as an example, he talks about how people must stop striving for perfection and learn to enjoy what they do. He says that it is important at all times to surround yourself with positivity and appreciate everything that you can’t control (whether it’s good or bad).
Enjoying the journey, rather than constantly pursuing perfection, is crucial in becoming a successful person. It is also important not to take anything for granted because it will eventually come around again.
Perfection is something we can never achieve and striving for it will only lead to disappointment. So instead of striving for perfection, we should just enjoy the journey and focus on having fun with our work.
7 Steps to a More Productive & Satisfying Life With a Focused Goal of Working Hard but Not Too Hard
It requires a lot of hard work to achieve success, but it doesn’t have to be a mindless grind. In this section, we will discuss the 7 steps you need to take in order to be more productive.
1. What is your goal?
When your goal is clear, you can keep track of how far you are progressing towards it. Mediocre goals lead to mediocre results.
Let us first define what is our goal. If our goal is to be the next CEO of a company, then that would mean that we want to be at the top of the pyramid in terms of earnings by being an entrepreneur or working for a big company.
The other goal might be to have enough money so that we can retire early and enjoy life post-work.
2. What is your current situation?
“To define your current situation, you need to understand your situation.”
Your current situation is a powerful tool to determine your life and where you want to go. If you are not sure what your current situation is, the following questions will help you clarify your thought process.
What do I want my life to be like?
What do I feel good about doing in my life?
– What am I doing now?
– How am I doing?
– What are my goals or aspirations at this moment in time?

3. What motivates you?
Our motivations are constantly changing. There are many factors that contribute to the determination of what motivates us in life.
I was motivated to learn more about myself, my motivations, and how I felt when I was in different situations. I wanted to be more aware of the internal dialogue in my head so that I could be in control of it instead of letting it control me.
This led me down a path where I started coaching people who were struggling with their personal motivation or desire, which is how this blog came about.
4. How big is your goal?
Setting goals is vital for your success. The key to achieving them is to break them down into smaller goals that are more manageable.
It goes without saying that you don’t want to set a low bar for yourself. But setting an unreasonably high goal every day can also be detrimental to your success.

5. Who will help you achieve your goal?
Why are you here today? You are here to find someone who can help you achieve your goal. While there are so many people out there, finding the right person can be difficult.
Luckily, this is where my friend comes in handy! I have done a lot of research on who will help you achieve your goal and it turns out that this person is called a coach. Coaches have helped me achieve my goals, so they can definitely help you too!
6. How can you make progress towards your goal every day?
You can make progress toward your goal every day by following the steps of the Pomodoro Technique. This technique involves consistently working for 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute break. The breaks will help you recharge and renew your focus for another 25-minute burst of work.

7. How do you know when the task is complete or if there’s still work left to accomplish?
The two most common methods for determining when a task is complete are to keep track of time or progress bar. While the former is not practical in certain situations, the latter can sometimes be misleading.
I don’t think that’s going to be enough.
This is because the progress bar will show a steady change in the amount of work even if it’s taking longer than what you initially expected. When your task takes an unexpected turn, it might move backward, which could make you feel like things aren’t progressing as quickly as they should be.
It can be challenging to know when a project or task is finished. If you’re unsure, there are a few ways that you can analyze your progress and determine if there’s still work left to accomplish.
Some of the most common indicators that the task is complete are:
- The project has been completed and delivered
- You have met all the requirements of the project
- You have provided feedback to your team member.
