Introduction: Why are you trying to simplify your life?

We all have personal obstacles to overcome. Some are simple and some are complicated. The topic of simplification is personal to everyone, but it’s also what we strive for every day.

We know about the benefits of simplifying your life, but why do you want to simplify? One reason for this is that it forces you to prioritize tasks and improve efficiency. This leads to more time for self-care, family time, and other activities that make up your life.

Some people simplify their lives because they’re feeling overwhelmed by the “busyness” of modern society or that there simply isn’t enough time in the day for everything they want to do. Others simplify their lives by moving into a tiny home or having kids so they can live a simpler lifestyle with fewer responsibilities and more freedom.

Stopping Self-Sabotage – The 4 Darker Tendencies of the Human Mind

The 4 Darker Tendencies of the Human Mind are an idea proposed by author, psychiatrist, and professor Dr. Jordan Peterson. They are the tendencies to fear the future, fear change, hate one’s enemies, and hoard information. While these tendencies are not necessarily evil in themselves, they have a dark side that affects us negatively.

4 Darker Tendencies of the Human Mind

1) Fear of the future

Fear of the future is often a result of anxiety and uncertainty about what the future holds. It can be caused by a lack of knowledge, lack of knowledge about specific events, or lack of control.

The fear of the future can come in different forms such as:

  • Fear that technology may destroy jobs (such as the Luddite fallacy)
  • Fear that technology will bring about a dystopian society with increased surveillance and oppression (such as George Orwell’s 1984)

2) Fear change

It is human nature to fear change, but it also can be helpful for us to embrace the unknown. We should not be afraid of change because it is inevitable. With that in mind, let’s explore some reasons why we fear change.

There are many reasons why people are afraid of change. One is because they have a fixed view of themselves and their desires which would require changing which could be difficult or painful.

Another reason is that they believe that their way of life will go away if they begin to change, but this isn’t necessarily true.

One way to help with our fears when it comes to change is by acknowledging what we don’t know about what might happen in the future and how it may impact our lives in the future if we start changing now.

3) Hate one’s enemies

Hate is a strong emotion that can be difficult to control. It’s not always easy to see the good in someone else when you are consumed with your own thoughts of anger.

When anger takes over, it can lead to physical abuse and violence. Hate speech has been found to lead to social disharmony, violence, and even genocide.

So while it’s tempting to feel hate towards someone who is different than us, it’s best for everyone involved if we take a step back and try not to engage in this type of dialogue.

4) Hoarding information

Hoard of information is an abbreviation for the concept of “too much information”. The term was popularized by media personality Glenn Beck.

There are two levels of Hoard of Information: the first one is where you have too much information, and the second one is when you lack some information that would be beneficial to you.

Too much information can cause anxiety, stress, and frustration. Lack of knowledge can make people feel dumb or helpless.

Don’t Fall into the “Routine Trap” by Doing the Same Old Things Every Day

You’ve seen them. You know them. The people who are too tired to “waste time” on their days off, but still wake up before the sun comes up and hits the gym before breakfast.

They may be the ones that show up early to work, setting their alarm for 3 AM just so they can get in a few more hours of sleep on their day off.

Routine is a trap that most people fall into when they do the same old things every day. It is important to remember that you don’t have to do what everyone else does if it doesn’t make you happy or make you feel fulfilled.

If you focus on doing what makes you happiest rather than what makes others happy, then your life will be much more enjoyable.

Stop Staying Negative & Start Living a Positive Lifestyle

No one likes to be negative. But negative feelings are not always avoidable. It is important to stay positive even in difficult times by staying motivated and taking time for yourself.

There is a lot of negativity in the world that we live in and it is hard to escape. However, you can always find a way to make your life happier and more positive.

There are many ways people find happiness and contentment in their lives. Some people find it by collecting material goods, others by indulging in hobbies or crafts. The key is to look at the small things that bring joy into your life such as family and friends, nature, and even just taking a walk outside.

Alo you can identify what your goals are, and to have the discipline needed to achieve them.

Once you have a goal in mind, it’s time to create a plan for achieving it, taking into account all your circumstances and how you can make incremental progress towards reaching your goal each day.

Don’t Let Stress Make You Sick – Understand the Science of Stress and How To Manage it Properly

Stress is a natural part of life, but it can be harmful if not managed properly. In this article, we will take a look at how stress affects the body and what science says about managing it.

What does stress do to your body?

Stress is a natural part of life and can be healthy when managed properly. However, when we’re under too much stress our bodies may react in unhealthy ways. These reactions can range from physical and mental to hormonal issues and inflammation that can lead to various health problems in the future.

Different strategies for managing stress:

Mindfulness meditation

Mindfulness meditation is a form of meditation that focuses on being aware of what is going on in the present moment. It is a practice that helps people to live more consciously and with greater awareness.

By practicing mindfulness, we can cultivate a deeper sense of happiness and contentment by learning how to be in the moment when we are experiencing joy or when we are facing challenges.

Mindfulness meditation has been used by many companies in the workplace for their employees to help them cope with stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.

Mental relaxation techniques

Technology is often used as a tool to help us relax our minds. There are many different types of technology that people use to relax their minds. One common type of mental relaxation technique is meditation.

It is important to find the right type of meditation for you. If you prefer to do something physical, then yoga and tai chi are two options that might be beneficial for you. If you like listening or singing, then playing certain types of music might help you too.

There are also apps on the market right now that can help us relieve stress and anxiety with guided imagery exercises and soundscapes for meditation sessions.

Physical exercise/exercise therapy

Physical exercise and exercise therapy are two huge parts of Eastern and Western cultures, but it is also used as a treatment for health conditions such as obesity, high blood pressure, and depression.

5 Things to Stop Doing to Simplify your Life

1. Commit to a New Work Schedule every day

Your brain is programmed to respond better to new habits, so commit to doing something new every day. The act of picking up this new habit might feel like it’ll take forever, but the end result will be worth your while.

It can be difficult to find time for yourself when you’re constantly busy with work or school. But committing to a New Work Schedule every day will change all that.

You might have gone to bed at 2 am last night and felt so tired you couldn’t move, but try your best not to sleep in tomorrow morning and pick up a New Work Schedule throughout the day instead.

2. Give Up Spending Money on Things You Don’t Need

One of the ways to improve our happiness and well-being is to give up spending money on things that we don’t need. It will help us save a lot of time, energy, and resources.

There are many reasons why you need to Give Up Spending Money on Things You Don’t Need. One is that it will make a positive impact on your bank account – saving more money in the long run. Another reason is that it will help you become more mindful about what you spend your money on and how much you actually spend.

3. Get Rid of Social Media for a while

Sometimes it’s best to take a break from social media. This is because it can be overwhelming and cause anxiety to people. If you’re feeling anxious, it might be time for a break to help your mental health.

Get rid of social media for a while, but why?

Some reasons include being overwhelmed with the amount of content that is coming your way, not being able to keep up with the amount of content you need to produce, using social media as an escape route when you are feeling anxious or depressed, or getting addicted to social media and its apps.

4. Leave your phone at home when you’re out

Today, it is common to be surrounded by all kinds of screens. We rely not only on our phones but many other devices for a variety of things including entertainment, productivity, and communication.

However, studies show that this reliance can have a negative impact on our mental health and wellbeing.

In addition to the physical effects of spending so much time in front of screens – there are also serious mental health problems that arise from constantly checking our phones without realizing how much time we’re taking away from activities that really matter.

Although it can be difficult staying away from technology when you’re out with friends or family, doing so is important for your personal well-being and happiness.

5. Start carrying a small notebook everywhere you go

Thinking of starting a new habit? Write it down and carry a notebook with you everywhere you go.

According to research findings, one in three Americans carries a notebook or journal. Carrying such items keeps your mind fresh and creative. It also provides insightful moments for writing material and keeps you from wasting time on something that does not produce anything valuable for you.

It’s difficult to try and stay productive when you work at the same place every day, which is why notebooks help keep your thoughts fresh and creative. Not only do they provide moments for writing material but they also help with brainstorming ideas as well as planning tasks for the week ahead.
